I always say you know you're truly famous once your face has been on a cake! ....and what a good cake it was. I suspect Ivy and I will still be eating it by the launch of the next book!

Early Thursday 19th November...As the shop opened and before the queue of school children began! Don't I look great! 

The first group of Ralph fans of the day from Prestonfied Primary.....They'd even made their own masks like mine... That's very flattering! They came to hear us read from the book.. and to do a poetry  and art masterclass.

Look..here's a picture of El (the illustrator who made me into the  handsome chap I am!) helping some of the class to colour in one of her splendid drawings!

The Evening Launch!

Over ten hours later, Corinne, El and Pab were still going strong and welcomed an audience of 'larger Ralph fans' to the store...Some of them were pretending to buy for smaller relatives, but I'm not so sure! All the copies were quickly swiped from the shelves before finally selling out of stock! Again the terrific trio pulled off another animated reading of Chapter 6 (my favourite chapter about Mr.Grace!) before signing.....signing......and more signing!

You see!  Everyone's so busy having fun they haven't noticed me sneak to the front of this shot!... Hello!...It's ME!!...RALPH!
